Playing Volleyball at Ocean Beach
Ocean Beach volleyball is bring your own net and lines. There are 10 poles set up on the beach that you can use to create courts by stringing your own net and boundary lines between them.
Essential Equipment
You must bring your own equipment to play:
- Volleyball net - Standard beach volleyball net
- Boundary lines - Court lines to mark playing area
- Volleyball - Official or recreational volleyball
- Anchor system - To secure lines in sand (optional but recommended)
Court Setup
- 10 total poles available on the beach
- Set up your net between any available poles
- String your boundary lines to create regulation court size
- Courts are first-come, first-served basis
- Multiple courts can be set up simultaneously

Since there are no organized pickup games, you need to:
