Ocean Beach has 10 volleyball poles set up on the sand near the river mouth. Players bring their own nets and lines to create courts between available poles. This flexible system allows for multiple court configurations depending on how many people want to play.

Court Rules & Etiquette

  • Courts operate on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Games are typically played to 21 points (win by 2)
  • Winners stay, losers rotate off
  • Be respectful of other players and skill levels
  • Help rake courts after play when needed
  • No glass containers on the beach
